The UC284xB control IC family provides the essential features to enable the implementation of off-line or DC to DC fixed frequency current mode control schemes with minimal external components. These ICs feature internal circuits such as a trimmed oscillator for precise duty cycle control, a trimmed reference for accuracy, logic for latched operation, a PWM comparator for current limit control, and a totem pole output stage capable of sourcing or sinking high peak currents. With a start-up current of less than 0.5mA and under-voltage lockout capabilities, these ICs ensure reliable performance in various applications. The UC2842B and UC2844B models are ideal for off-line applications, with UVLO thresholds of 16V (on) and 10V (off). In contrast, the UC2843B and UC2845B feature thresholds of 8.5V and 7.9V, catering to different operational conditions. Additionally, the UC2844B and UC2845B offer an internal toggle flip flop for adjusting duty cycles, providing a range from zero to less than 50% for specific requirements
